TheCenterForCD.com v3

The Center for Childhood Development Home Page

This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of implementing a redesign of The Center for Childhood Development’s website. Yes, that means the old site (that I built in 2007) was getting a “little” outdated, and was built on a really old version of a not-so-user-friendly content management system.

It is now running on WordPress, can be updated quickly and easily by staff, and uses fairly custom page layouts to achieve the design envisioned by Michele Brautnick.

They provide all kinds of therapies and programs for children with special needs like autism, sensory deficits, ADD, and down’s syndrome – a great cause.

  1. Nice job, Luke. I like how the staff bios open in lightboxes. I often link staff photos to new pages or anchors within the staff page, but the lightboxes are faster and less jarring to users.
