Always fun to dig up some free stock photography and a free font to see what you can come up with. Just a banner promoting the advent series at church.
AccelerationQC.com Makeover
Many have said that your best customers are the ones you already have, and that held true with this home-page redesign project for AccelerationQC.com. I had just built the first version of this website in June 2010, and it was time to make the home page more dynamic with content that could be maintained by Ryan at Acceleration.

Steelcase store(s) shirts
I can’t really claim ownership of these graphics or intellectual property since I made them on my employer‘s time, but I really like how they turned out, so I am sharing.
Three of us from our team came up with a shirt design that would represent the Steelcase, Turnstone, and Coalesse online stores – both for our annual volleyball tournament coming up at the end of the month, and for some good ol’ team pride.
The QR code worked great on 11/14 shirts, but Green Giftz is doing a quick/free reprint on the 3 that weren’t scannable. Great customer service!
GYS Themed Categories
GYS Themed Categories is a WordPress plugin that allows site administrators to apply a theme to each category of blog posts within their site.

A little history
I found this abandoned WordPress plugin when setting up our church’s summer day camp (Base Camp) ministry site. I wanted to have a completely different design each year to match the theme of the week, yet have a series of posts for each year. So I took what Mike Lopez had done here, updated it to work with the latest version of WordPress and child themes, and re-released it.
For support
Please use the WordPress support forums for the plugin. I will obviously receive comments left here as well, but I would prefer to keep all the support questions and answers in one place.
FHBCGR.org (v3)
This is the 3rd rendition of our church (Forest Hills Baptist) website since we’ve been attending and I am really happy with how it turned out. It has a jam-packed CSS sprite, a cool page curl shadow effect, and of course is built on WordPress and the Genesis Framework.
This is one of very few web design projects I have worked on as part of a team, which was a good learning experience as we mapped out the content and information architecture before diving into design.
WillingToWait.org
A great organization and a great cause. I was excited to work on this site with the Willing to Wait / Pregnancy Resource Center organization. I used the Going Green Genesis Child Theme from StudioPress almost right out of the box and was able to train several staffers on how to maintain and add new content.
OSQuadCities.com
I maintain this website for Orthopaedic Specialists of Quad Cities, Iowa, and have designed some smaller site for them in the past as well.
AccelerationQC.com
StoneFaceProducts.com
Stone Face Products of Tustin, MI came to me looking for an extremely simple one page design to act as a digital brochure and point-of-contact. They do great stone work!
PaulTDoyle.com
I had the privilege to work with Paul on this site, and got to learn some of what he teaches organizations about cultural competency. He is a fascinating individual and the hope of the site was to reflect his past clients and experience, and to show what he can offer other organizations.
This is another site I loved the design elements of, especially the search area, the big nav buttons, the white-ish glow around the site, and a Facebook widget to display his fan page’s latest content.
